CHAPTER 11: CASTERS, FORKS AND CASTER PIN LOCKS

Replacing Frog Legs

(Aero Z Series 1)

Tools Needed:

• 5/32” Allen Wrench

• 7/16” Open End Wrench

1. Remove the caster. See” Replacing Casters” on page

11-10.

2. Completely remove the Allen screw, two washers and

locknut that secure the “Bullet” Caster Housing. See

Figure 11-20.

3. Slide the “Bullet” Caster Housing (and attached Frog

Legs

fork) out of the caster barrel and remove the dowel.

4. Insert the dowel into the new “Bullet” Caster Housing

attached to the new Frog Legs

fork and slide it into the

caster barrel.

5. Insert the Allen screw through the first washer and caster

barrel, making sure it slides through the notch in the

“Bullet” Caster Housing and threads into the hole in the

dowel.

6. Slide the second washer on the Allen screw and tighten

the locknut finger-tight.

7. Reinstall the caster. See “Replacing Casters” on page

11-9.

8. Square the barrel of the Frog Legs

to a level surface

using a Bubble Level Bracket because the flat edge of

the Frog Legs

fork is not parallel to the “Bullet” Caster

Housing. See Figure 11-28.

Replacing Frog Legs

(ZRA Series 1)

Tools Needed:

• 5/32” Allen Wrench

• 7/16” Open End Wrench

1. Remove the caster. See” Replacing Casters” on page

11-10.

2. Completely remove the Allen screw and locknut that

secure the “Bullet” Caster Housing. See Figure 11-21.

3. Slide the “Bullet” Caster Housing (and attached Frog

Legs

fork) out of the caster barrel and remove the dowel.

4. Insert the dowel into the new “Bullet” Caster Housing

attached to the new Frog Legs

fork and slide it into the

caster barrel.

5. Insert the Allen screw through the caster barrel, making

sure it slides through the notch in the “Bullet” Caster

Housing and threads into the hole in the dowel.

6. Tighten the locknut finger-tight.

7. Reinstall the caster. See “Replacing Casters” on page

11-9.

8. Square the barrel of the Frog Legs

to a level surface

using a Bubble Level Bracket because the flat edge of

the Frog Legs

fork is not parallel to the “Bullet” Caster

Housing. See Figure 11-28.
