Amethyst III DTV Smart Switch 

User Manual

Replacing the Lithium Battery

When to Change the Battery?

The life expectancy of the battery is 5 years if the equipment is turned-on, 
and 2 years if the equipment is switched off.

The battery must be changed if the "Battery failure" alarm is active.

This alarm is displayed in the 

Active alarms

 panel in the supervision 

interface.

The system LED is red on the front panel.

An SNMP trap corresponding to this alarm is emitted.

Reference

The battery is a 

RENATA 3V CR2032

 lithium battery.

Safety

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only 
with the same or equivalent type recommended by the 
manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries according to the 
manufacturer instructions.

To avoid electric shock, switch off the equipment power, and 
disconnect both power cords from the mains power supply. Before 
beginning the procedure, the operator must put on a grounded 
antistatic bracelet.
