The following parameters shall be set:
Parameters Area
 Name : enter a name for the output, at your convenience. This name is
used in the Switches supervision tab for a better readability.

Output : select an output from the drop-down list.
 Deactivate output if level is critical : if enabled and both inputs are in a
critical state, no signal is sent to output.
Smart Capabilities Area
These parameters are available only for smart-secured outputs, that is
outputs 1, 3, 5 and 7. Refer to the
Section ’ASI Interfaces’ on page 196 for
more information on smart-secured outputs.
 Mode : choose a mode from the drop-down list. This mode can be:
 Active : Amethyst III regenerates the output signal after time
delay and delay compensation if any.
 Passive : the output signal is the same as the input signal.
 ActiveDefault : same as active mode but the output signal is
forced to a default input in case of power failure. There is no
need to define bypass behavior, nor declare ASI input in the
configuration. The following bypass source automatically
applies in case of power outage: ASI input N to ASI output N
(with N = 1, 3, 5 or 7).
 Bypass source (available if the mode is Active ): when the equipment
is turned off, the smart-secured output is secured by a bypass. You can
choose on which input this bypass will be switched:

For instance, for smart-secured output 3, you can choose to get the
content of ASI input 3, ASI input 4 or the content of the last input
chosen by switch 2.
