Returning to a Vial
After sampling from other vials, you can return to a vial that was
previously sampled.
NOTE If a bleed is enabled, the Dionex AS-DV performs
the bleed function when it returns to the vial.
However, because the bleed was performed
previously, there is no excess fluid remaining in the
vial to exit during the second bleed cycle.
1. Open the sequence.
2. In the
Position
column, enter the position of the vial from which to
take each sample. For example, in the example sequence shown in
, Sample 1 is taken from the vial in position 1. Samples 2
and 3 are taken from the vials in positions 2 and 3, respectively. For
Sample 4, the Dionex AS-DV returns to the vial in position 1.

Replacing Vials During a Run
During a run, follow the steps below to remove vials that have already
been sampled and replace them with different vials.
1. Open the Dionex AS-DV ePanel (in Chromeleon 7) (see
or Control panel (in Chromeleon 6.8) (see

Start Pos.

End Pos.

range of vials that you want to replace. For example, if vials 1
through 10 have already been run and you want to replace them with
new vials, enter

Reset Vial Range
. This clears vial information (the size of the
vial installed, if any, and the volume remaining) for the specified
