C.4 Controlling the Relay Output
The Dionex AS-DV provides relay contacts for control of functions in external
devices. The relay output can be programmed in Chromeleon to switch any low-
voltage device. Switched current must be no more than 200 mA at 5 VDC. The
relay-contact closures are normally open. When the relay is closed, current flows
to the connected device.
Use one of the following methods to control the relay output states: execute direct
control commands or include the commands in an instrument method or program.
Refer to the following instructions.
Relay loads in excess of 200 mA or with included power supplies over
5 VDC may damage the relay drivers on the CPU.
