Microprocessor
•
Run pretrip test (see “Pretrip Test” in Operating Instructions
Chapter).
Engine
•
Check fuel supply.
•
•
Check engine oil level.
•
•
Check condition and tension of belts every 2,000 hrs or 6
months (whichever occurs first). Replace if excessive wear
found.
•
Check air cleaner hose for damage.
•
Inspect and clean electric fuel pump filter.
•
Check engine coolant level every 1,000 hours or 6 months
(whichever occurs first).
•
Check that engine coolant antifreeze protection is at –40 F (–
40 C) every 1,000 hours or 6 months year (whichever occurs
first).
•
Dry air cleaner. Replace air cleaner element at 2,000 hours or
1 year (whichever occurs first)
•
Change EMI 2000 (black) fuel filter.
•
Change engine oil and oil filters (hot). Requires oil with API
Classification CJ-4 or CK-4 (ACEA Rating E6 for Europe) and
EMI 2000 bypass oil filter.
•
Check restraining mount (snubber) pre-load adjustment.
•
Drain water from fuel tank and check vent.
•
Check and adjust engine speeds (high and low speed).
•
Check condition of engine mounts.
•
Test fuel injection nozzles at least every 3,000 hours. Based
on EPA 40 CFR Part 89.
