F. Insertion Of The Wire Electrode
Sc r ew out the contact tip in the MIG to r ch handset.
Open the wi r e feed compa r tment lid on the powe r
supply o r wi r efeed case.
The diamete r of the wi r e should co rr espond to the
diamete r of the feed r olls. The wi r e size is on the face
of the feed r olls. Open the p r essu r e leve r and th r ead
the wi r e th r ough the inlet guide and the outlet guide.

Switch on powe r supply at main switch, st r etch to r ch
cable out st r aight and p r ess the inch switch button
in the wi r e feed compa r tment. Adjust the p r essu r e
at the p r essu r e adjustment sc r ews so the wi r e-feed
r olls d r ive the wi r e consistently without slipping. The
wi r e should not be defo r med.

Adjust the p r essu r e adjustment next to the inlet guide
to a lowe r p r essu r e less than the p r essu r e adjustment
next to the outlet guide, this will ensu r e that the wi r e
will be located co rr ectly in the wi r e-feed unit.
P r ess the inch switch button until the wi r e
appea r s app r oximately 3/4 inch (20 mm) out of the
to r ch neck.
Sc r ew in the contact tip co rr esponding to the wi r e
diamete r and cut off any wi r e sticking out.
G. How To Connect The Gas Cylinder
If the Wheeling Kit option has been installed, position a
gas cylinde
r on the r ea r t r ay and lock secu r ely to the
Powe r Sou r ce cylinde r b r acket with the chains p r ovided.
If this a rr angement is not used then ensu r e that the
gas cylinde r is secu r ed to a building pilla r , wall b r acket
o r othe r wise secu r ely fixed in an up r ight position.
Open the gas valve once to blow out possible di r t
pa r ticles.
Connect the gas r egulato r to the gas cylinde r valve.
Connect the gas hose to the gas r egulato r .
Open the gas cylinde r valve and adjust the gas flow on
the gas r egulato r while p r essing the to r ch t r igge r switch.
The quantity will be shown at the flowmete r .
