3.01 Location
Adequate ai r ci r culation is needed at all times in o r de r
to assu r e p r ope r ope r ation. P r ovide a minimum of 12
inches (305 mm) of f r ee ai r space on all sides of the
unit. Make su r e that the ventilato r openings a r e not
obst r ucted. Ventilation ai r flow is f r om r ea r to side.
3.02 Voltage Changeover
Fo r p r ope r ope r ation and to p r event damage to the
machine, the Voltage Input Select Switch must be set
acco
r ding to the incoming AC line voltage.
If this switch is not set to the position that matches
the input line voltage, the Sma
r t Logic will inhibit the
welding powe r sou r ce f r om tu r ning on. The Voltage
Input Select Switch is located on the r ea r panel.

WARNING
Do not alte r the position of the Voltage
Input Select Switch when the ON/OFF
Switch is in the ON position as this will
cause two inte
r nal auxilia r y fuses to
r uptu r e. These fuses will have to be
r eplaced befo r e the machine can ope r ate.

WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK CAN KILL.
Open the main wall disconnect switch o r
b r eake r , befo r e r emoving any cove r s o r
access panels on the welding machine.
Live voltage is still p
r esent even with the
f r ont panel cont r ol switch OFF. Wait at
least 10 full minutes afte r powe r has been
r emoved befo r e r emoving any cove r s o r
access panels to allow adequate time fo r
inte r nal capacito r s to discha r ge.

To set the Voltage Input Select Switch:
1. Rotate the locking sc r ew 90 deg r ees.
2. Lift up the switch cove r and set the switch to the
in-coming AC line voltage.
3. Secu r e the switch cove r .
