Dual Zone Fire Control Panel
Manual part no 650.830049 rev. June 13, 2022
Example 2 – Two detection zones both cross-zoned detection and actuation using two
linear heat detectors with different alarm set points. This example requires two separate
detectors in alarm to actuate the system.
•
Detection zone 1 goes into alarm due to low temperature alarm fire detection
o
A Fault condition is annunciated at the panel
o
Relay 1 is programmed as transfer on cross-zoned detection.
Relay 1 does NOT transfer
o
Relay 2 is programmed as Transfer on Fault condition.
Relay 2 transfers
o
Relay 5
(FACP Fault)
Fault relay transfers
•
Detection zone 2 goes into alarm due to higher temperature linear heat detector
fire detection
o
Both actuation zones are released
o
Relay 1 transfers
o
Relay 4 (
FACP Fire)
transfers
•
The system cannot be reset from an Alarm condition until the detection wiring is
replaced
•
To reset the control panel, the Reset button is pressed
o
If no fire is present, the panel Fire Alarm condition will clear
o
If the actuation devices are fired (open) a Fault condition will exist until the
actuation devices are replaced
o
All Fault relays will remain engaged until the actuation devices are replaced
