Maintenance
Periodic maintenance is required for the Advantage
DC
control panel. The system test as
described in section 4.6 lists the procedure for testing the alarm inputs and control panel
functions. Depending upon the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), maintenance and
testing intervals may vary. Refer to sensor manufacturers recommendations regarding the
maintenance and testing of field wiring sensors. Inspection intervals are categorized as follows:
Initial Inspection
Verification of system performance must be performed upon completion of initial
installation. Use the installation verification checklist included as Appendix 8.1 to record
verification of system design and performance. Documentation of installer and contact
information are also recorded.
Periodic Inspection
As a minimum, annual inspection of the Advantage
DC
control panel and field wiring
devices must be performed. Use the inspection checklist included as Appendix 8.1 to
record test verification and results.
Visual Inspection
When possible, a daily visual inspection of the Advantage
DC
control panel should be
performed. The flashing green System Normal LED indicates normal operation. See
the Troubleshooting Guide in section 6 of this manual if a problem is observed.
