VPS (video programming system) is used to control the start and duration of
TV channel recordings, If a
TV program
starts
earlier or ends later than was scheduled, the
DVD recorder will then turn on and off at the correct time.

Recording to
DVD+R/RW or
DVD-R/RW
Disc
1.
Power on the system.
2.
Place a
DVD+R/RW disc (label facing up) to be recorded on the disc tray.
If a blank disc is
used for first time, the start
logo will appear on the screen.
If the disc has been previously recorded, a title menu screen may appear.
Note:
Blank
DVD+R discs may take a while longer to display.
3.
Select the Source (TV, S-VIDEO1,
AV1, S-VIDEO2,
AV2 or
DV) that you want to record to the DVD+R/RW disc.
4.
Press MEDIA to select the DVD function (recording to
DVD+R/RW disc)
5.
If you want to change the Record Quality, press REC MODE to select Record Mode.
6.
Press RECORD to start recording.
7.
Press STOP to stop recording.

Recording to HDD
1.
Power on the system.
2.
Select the Source (TV, S-VIDEO1,
AV1, S-VIDEO2,
AV2 or
DV) that you want to record to the HDD.
3.
Press MEDIA to select HDD (recording to HDD)
4.
If you want to change the Record Quality, press REC MODE to select Record Mode.
5.
Press RECORD to start recording.
6.
Press STOP to stop recording.
To watch the recorded content or other recorded content on the HDD while recording simultaneously
1.
Press RECORD to start recording to HDD.
2.
Press the PLAY to bring up the recording list.

Use the up/down keys to select the title which has a red dot (the red dot means it is currently being recorded).
4.
You can also select other recorded content to play while you are recording (to HDD).
5.
Press STOP to stop recording (to HDD).
Note:
When the unit is recording, pressing the REC MODE
button is invalid.
