Th

  e number of patch cords between the FINNFLASH 1000 frames and between the FINNFLASH 1000 frames 

and equipment racks may be very high and may also be increased aft er the initial installation. Th

 erefore the 

management and protection of the patch cords is very important already in the initial stage of the installations 
in the distributor space. 

Teletekno  highly  recommends  ADC  FiberGuide®  -pathway  and  protection  system  to  be  used  in  patch 

cord installations between the FINNFLASH 1000 frames and between the FINNFLASH 1000 frames and 
equipment racks. 

Brief installation instructions are given in 9.1….9.6 of this document.  Also some examples of implementations 

are given. 

Ask further information from Teletekno.

9.1 Preparation

•  Prepare an installation plan, if not already completed. 
•  Secure all required tools.
•  Open all shipping cartons to verify that correct catalogue numbers and quantities were 

received. 

•  Unpack all items carefully and organize them into four groups corresponding to the main steps in 

installation:

o Supports
o Horizontal 

components

o Vertical 

components

o  End caps and other accessories

•  Walk through the complete installation to verify routing of FiberGuide system against installation 

drawing. Make changes or adjustments to the drawing as necessary.

•  Contact the supplier if additional parts are required because of damages, shortages, or adjustments 

to the installation plan.
