• Bring the patch cord loop in the cabling space of the inner frame through the nearest guide and fi x
it to the strain relief fi xture.
• If the patch cords are too long to be stored in the cabling space of the inner frame, guide all extra
patch cord lengths to the cabling space on the left side of frame and further to the bottom of the
frame, if needed. Th
e bottom of the frame works as a patch cord storage.
7.3 Patch cords between the FINNFLASH 1000 frame and equipment racks
• Bring the patch cords to the left side of the patch panels around the vertical shaft and to the cabling
space of the frame.
• Fix the patch cords to the strain relief fi xtures of the patch panels. Avoid crossings of patch cord in
the strain relief fi xture, because crossing may cause microbending and extra losses. Avoid also too
sharp bending, especially at the near end of the panel.
• Bring the patch cords fi rst in the cabling space of the frame downwards to the right side of the guides
in the back of the frame. Turn the patch cords to the left side of the guides and further upwards along
the back of the frame through the opening at the top of the frame. Th
e appropriate turning point
depends on the lengths of the patch cords.
