Parallel Printer Port. The parallel printer port is a Centronics-compatible output
port. No special configuration settings are required beyond setting the printer
type and selecting Parallel for the Copy, Log, or Report port.
Serial Port Configuration. Two groups of eight lines appear in the Communication
Setup file after the lines that control port and format assignments. These two
groups constitute the serial port configuration lines of the Communication Setup
file. These lines control the formatting of data when the measurement set is
being operated remotely and when it is being used to control a remote device on
the Control port.
The configuration parameters for Serial Port 0 and Serial Port 1 and their
possible values are as follows:

Protocol : can be set to None or SLIP (serial line internet protocol).
H
Baud Rate : can be set to 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200,
or 38400.
H Flow Control
: can be set to XON/XOFF (software handshaking to control
data flow), CTS/RTS (hardware handshaking to control data flow) or NONE
(no flow control).
H
Character Size : can be set to 7 or 8 bits.
