Taking Automatic Measurements in the Frequency Domain
To take an automatic measurement in the frequency domain:
1. Push Measure .

Channel power: The total power within the
bandwidth, de
fi ned by the Channel Width.

Adjacent channel power ratio: The power in the
main channel and the ratio of channel power to
main power, for the upper and lower halves of
each adjacent channel.

contains the speci
fi ed % of power within the
analysis bandwidth.

As you select each frequency measurement, on screen help will appear to explain the purpose of that measurement.
A lower-bezel
Con fi gure menu item will appear. After you press Con fi gure and set the measurement parameters in
the resulting side-bezel menu, the oscilloscope will automatically set the span. When the RF measurements are on,
the Auto detection method will set all frequency domain traces to the
Average detection method. This provides optimal
measurement accuracy.
