PHT FLEX

• When planting corn, work on speeds from 5 to 5.5 km/h.
• It is necessary to keep a constant speed during the whole plantation.

NOTE

Ideal working speed

Choose a gear that matches the ideal speed for every type of operation that needs

to be done with the tractor.

The PHT FLEX planter works with a higher efficiency from 5 to 7 Km/h.

Set-up instructions

Preparing for the plantation

The three-point lifting system must control the frame height related to the soil to

perform the job.

To do so, it is important that the lifting bars are locked.
For the tractor models that have an electronic hydraulic system, it is important that

the hydraulic part remains locked when lowered, meaning that the equipment is working.

Check the contact of the tires with the soil and lift or lower the frame to increase or

decrease the pressure on the wheelset springs.

Adjust the fertilizer depth through the spring pressure adjustment as shown on the

'Fertilizer depth' page ('Adjustments and operations' section).

Adjust the seed depth through the depth control adjustment as shown on the 'Seed

depth' and 'Floating range of the row unit' pages ('Adjustments and operations' section)

Adjust the gauge wheels as shown on the 'Gauge wheels adjustment' and 'Angular

position of the wheels' pages ('Adjustments and operations' section).

Check the space between the seed and fertilizer row unit being sure that they do not

touch each other during the job.

Adjust the equipment through the third-point extensor adjustment observing the

fertilizer hose. This adjustment allows to level the equipment as shown on the 'Planter

leveling' page ('Set-up instructions' section), so that the fertilizer drop on the hose is

improved.

After performing the adjustments on the crop conditions, lift the equipment observing

the fertilizer hoses as they must not get loose from the conductor. If necessary, open the

third-point extensor smoothly.
