Fertilizer metering maintenance
For the correct fertilizer metering maintenance or to make any kind of repair in its
internal part, proceed as follows:
• Remove the square shaft (A) with bevel gear (B) and the bearing (C);
• Remove the bevel gear (D), bearing (E) and the fixation nut (F) by the frontal part
of the metering;
• Remove the grease fitting (G) from the rear part of the metering to release the bushing
(H), squared axle (I) and the other parts as shown in the illustration; replace the defective
parts, if there is any;
• Assemble the metering system again observing the correct position of the right and
left augers (J);
• Do not forget to lubricate the metering grease fittings daily as mentioned on the
'lubrication' page to avoid future problems.
Remove the grease fitting (G) from the rear part of the metering system if it
is necessary to replace the auger.
