Troubleshooting
Finding help
In case of a fault, please note the following:
•
In the Targa service portal (www.service.targa.de), support can be found
for possible problems.
•
If your problem is not described there, you can send us an e-mail with a
description of the problem via the Targa e-mail support system. We will
respond as soon as possible.
•
Alternatively, you can also call our Targa hotline (see page 43). Note that
the hotline can not carry out hardware and software training. The service
personnel will support you by phone to help you eliminate the problem.
When calling the hotline, please have the following information at hand:
−
The serial number of the device. This can be found on the rear of the
PC, consists of 12 digits and begins with an F (Fxxxxxxxxxxx).

Your proof of purchase
System recovery
If your PC no longer starts or has other problems that indicate a faulty instal-
lation, you can revert the PC to its delivered state by using Targa's “System
Recovery”. This features the following options:
Option 1: Only restore boot files
With this option, the start area of the hard drive is restored to the delivered
state. All other files remain unchanged. This option is the first option you
should use if your NetTop PC no longer starts up.
Option 2: Restore system files
With this option, all system files are restored to the delivered state. All other
files remain unchanged. This option should be used if option 1 is not
enough.
