or 2,462 MHz) may be used in France. It is prohibited to use

Radio Frequencies for Wireless LAN devices
Current information can be obtained from the corresponding official authority
in your country (e.g. www.bundesnetzagentur.de).
Radio network cards and adapters are provided for operation in the ISM fre-
quency (Industrial, Scientific, Medical) between 2.4 and 2.4835 GHz in ac-
cordance with IEEE standard 802.11b+g. Because each of the 11 usable
radio channels uses a range of 22 MHz through the DSSS procedure (Direct
Sequence Spread Spectrum), a maximum of three channels that are inde-
pendent from each other (e.g. 3, 8 and 11) are available. The following table
shows the channels that are permissible in your country:
