Doors and Covers
Engine Hood
WARNING
�
Before opening the engine hood, be
sure to stop the engine. If your hands
or tools should get caught in the fan
or fan belt while the engine is running
they may be severed.
�
When leaving the engine hood open,
be sure to lock it in place. Do not
leave the engine hood open when
there is a strong wind or when on
slopes.
Opening
1. Insert the starter key and turn it
counterclockwise to unlock the engine
hood.
2. Lift the engine hood fully until it stops.
(It locks automatically.)
3. Check that the engine hood is securely
locked in place.
Closing
1. Support the engine hood with your
hands, then lift the stay (1) to unlock it.
2. Close the engine hood and press it down
until a click is heard at the front.
3. Insert the starter key and turn it clockwise
to lock the engine hood.
Rear Covers
Opening
1. Open the engine hood.
Refer to “Engine hood”.
2. Push the lever (2) to release the lock and
open the rear cover (1) fully until it stops.
(It locks automatically)
3. Check that the rear cover is securely
locked in place.
Closing
1. Raise the stay (3) to unlock the rear cover
(1).
2. Close the rear cover (1) and press it
inside until a click is heard at the front.
3. Close the engine hood.
