Common Control Test
Follow the procedure below to initialize the system cards:
1.
Remove power from the Coral system.
For Systems without external batteries —
Disconnect AC power from external 48V power supply.
For Systems with external batteries —
Turn off the circuit breaker or remove the fuse supplying 48VDC to the
cabinet.
2.
Verify that all the Peripheral Power Supply Units (PPS and RPS) are turned
off.
Prepare 32GC
3.
Carefully extract the 32GC card from its slot, see
Extracting Control Circuit Cards
Locate a desk or table upon which to place the card. If the top surface might
be damaged by sharp objects, place a protective sheet of cardboard or similar
material over the top surface. Next, place an anti-static sheet (the card’s plastic
shipping bag will suffice) over the desk or tabletop.
4.
Place the 32GC card on the anti-static sheet.
5.
Carefully remove the plastic insulation from under the bottom of the lithium
battery on the 32GC card.
Circuit cards contain static-sensitive circuitry and may be damaged or destroyed by
electro-static discharge (ESD). Before handling circuit cards attach the static dissipating
wrist strap to the system ground terminal pole and tighten with the wing nut.
