shelf issue-5 and later.
The CoraLINK is a Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) Link for the Coral system
that provides an Open Architecture Interface (OAI) to the call processing and
management circuitry. CoraLINK enables external computer applications to monitor
call activity, and establish, manipulate and disconnect calls through the Coral system.
Coral systems installed with the CoraLINK Adapter (CLA-ATS) Card enable the
system to function as a universal communications switching platform for specialized
communications applications. The CLA-ATS interface enables connecting the Coral
Control Circuit cards to an external Ethernet 10/100Base-T LAN computer network
protocol.
The CLA-ATS card incorporates the application processor and Ethernet interface
circuitry for the CoraLINK computer-telephony integration (CTI) link and holds a
PCMCIA drive to house the Compact Flash Disk (CFD). The 64MB (or more) CFD
contains the CLA-ATS factory loaded software. The CLA-ATS shares the XMM
memory expansion attached on the 32GC card. The Ethernet interface is a RJ-45 LAN
connector on the front panel of the CLA-ATS card.
All Coral systems that include the optional CLA-ATS card, require a 4XMM or
8XMM expanded memory daughter card installed on the 32GC, as the
CLA-ATS card retrieves its memory from the XMM, see
.
Although the Coral FlexiCom 6000R is a Hot Standby system, the twin CLA-ATS
cards operate in a Standby/Duplicated mode, not offering CTI Hot Standby operation.
Therefore, during common control swaps, the CTI application restarts without
maintaining its current calls and functions and will disconnect active CTI calls.
