OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE

(5) Following distance indicator

(6) Adaptive cruise control indicator

(7) “SET” indicator

(8) Vehicle ahead detecting indicator

(9) Set speed indication

1) Turn on the adaptive cruise control sys-

tem by pushing cruise switch (2). When

the adaptive cruise control indicator (6),

and following distance indicator (5)

come on or appear in the information

display, you can set cruising speed.

2) Accelerate or decelerate to the desired

speed.

3) Pull down the “RES +/SET –” switch

(4), “SET” indicator (7) and set speed

indication (9) appears in the information

display. 

Take your foot off the accelerator pedal

and the set speed will be maintained. At

this time, vehicle ahead detecting indi-

cator (8) will vary as follows, depending

on the presence or absence of the vehi-

cle ahead.

pears when the system is not in use.
