Drive Chain Roller Inspection

Inspect the drive chain roller bearings for abnormal noise
and smooth rotation. Replace the drive chain control
roller bearings if there is anything unusual. Refer to
“Drive Chain Roller Removal and Installation (Page 3A-
12)”.

Removal

Remove the drive chain roller (1).

Installation

Tighten the drive chain roller mounting bolt to the
specified torque.

Tightening torque
Drive chain roller mounting bolt (a): 40 N·m (4.0 kgf-
m, 29.0 lb-ft)

Rear Axle Housing Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Remove the rear sprocket. Refer to “Rear Sprocket

Removal and Installation (Page 3A-5)”.

2) Draw out the rear axle. Refer to “Rear Brake Disc

Removal and Installation in Section 4C (Page 4C-
8)”.

3) Remove the rear axle housing bolts (1) and nuts.

4) Draw out the rear axle housing (2) with the plate (3).

5) Loosen the nut (3) and remove the plate (4).
