Charging System: 1J-7
• Degrease the tapered portion “A” of generator rotor
assembly and also the crankshaft “B”. Use
nonflammable cleaning solvent to wipe off oily or
greasy matter to make these surfaces completely dry.
• Install the generator rotor assembly onto crankshaft.
• Hold the generator rotor with the special tool and
tighten the generator rotor nut to the specified torque.
Special tool
(A): 09930–44520 (Rotor holder)
Tightening torque
Generator rotor nut (d): 120 N·m (12.0 kgf-m, 87.0
lb-ft)
• Apply molybdenum oil solution to the idle gear shaft
holes.
M/O: Molybdenum oil (MOLYBDENUM OIL
SOLUTION)
• Install the dowel pins and new gasket (2).
CAUTION
!
Use a new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Apply grease to the starter motor O-ring.
: Grease 99000–25160 (Water resistance
grease or equivalent)
CAUTION
!
Replace the O-ring with a new one.
