DTC “C44” (P0130, P0135): HO2 Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Malfunction
B705H11104029
Detected Condition and Possible Cause
Wiring Diagram
Troubleshooting
CAUTION
!
When using the multi-circuit tester, do not strongly touch the terminal of the ECM coupler with a
needle pointed tester probe to prevent the terminal damage or terminal bend.
NOTE
• Battery voltage can be detected only during a few seconds after ignition switch is turned ON.
• Temperature of the sensor affects resistance value largely.
• Make sure that the sensor heater is at correct temperature.
• After repairing the trouble, clear the DTC using SDS tool. Refer to “Use of SDS Diagnosis Reset
Procedures (Page1A-15)”.
Detected Condition
Possible Cause
HO2 sensor output voltage is not input to ECM during
engine operation and running condition.
NOTE
If SDS is used, P0130 is indicated.
• HO2 sensor circuit open or shorted to ground.
• Fuel system malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
NOTE
When P0135-H is displayed, it is possible that
no battery voltage is supplied to the HO2
sensor.
The heater can not operate so that heater operation
voltage is not supplied to the oxygen heater circuit.
NOTE
If SDS is used, P0135 is indicated.
