Introduction

1-1 Overview

Supermicro’s SC848 4U chassis features a unique and highly-optimized design. The 

chassis is equipped with two 1620 Watt high-efficiency power supplies. The SC848 

chassis supports up to 2+1 redundancy for a total of 3240 Watts). High-performance 
fans provide ample optimized cooling for FB-DIMM memory modules and twenty-
four hot-swappable drive bays offer maximum storage capacity.
