Chapter 4 Chassis Setup and Maintenance
Before installing an air shroud with an MCP-310-84803-0B Intel motherboard:
X8Q series motherboards: No modifications are required. Keep both posts in
place as illustrated below on the left.
X9QR7-TF+ motherboard: Remove the two posts as illustrated below on the
right.

Installing the Air Shroud
1. Power down the system, remove the cords from the back of the power sup-
plies and open the chassis top cover.
2. Place air shroud in the chassis, fitting the air shroud between the middle
bracket and the rear window.
3. Insert the front hooks of the air shroud into the interstices on the back of the
middle fan bracket.
4. Put the top cover back on the chassis, plug the power cords into the back of
the power supplies and power up the system.
