1. Remove the heat sink for the faulty CPU. See
FIGURE 3-25

shown).

a. Using a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen one screw two to three turns and
then loosen the other screw two to three turns. Alternate between the two
screws until you can remove the screws.
b. Gently twist the heat sink and pull it off.
Note –
Set the heatsink upside down on a clean, flat surface to prevent the thermal
grease from contaminating other components.
