Using JumpStart
Using JumpStart, you can install the Solaris operating environment onto a central
installation server, and then install the operating environment onto individual
servers using that central installation server. Refer to the documentation that you
received with the Solaris operating environment for instructions on setting up and
using JumpStart.
TTYMux Information
TTYMux Security Information
Use caution when enabling TTYMux to perform console input multiplexing,
particularly during super-user login, because a login on one console device could
mean a login on all console devices and therefore equal access privileges to the host
at the same time. Because no security measures are provided by the multiplexer
framework, you must clearly understand the security implications involved in using
this feature and take appropriate measures to provide maximum protection to the
host. You should have the console devices in a physically secure environment for
maximum protection to the host because the console multiplexer framework does
not provide any means of security measures.
Note – In addition, the TTYMux driver does not handle the behavioral differences
in control characteristics of different terminal types (for example, an ESCAPE
sequence.) As a result, multiple terminal types are not supported simultaneously.
