To turn on the headlights, turn the knob on
the end of the turn signal lever.
Second position:
Headlights, front position lights, instru-
ment panel illumination, tail lights and
license plate lights are on.
First position:
Front position lights, instrument panel
illumination, tail lights and license plate
lights are on.
Auto position: auto on/off headlights (if
equipped):
When the ignition switch is in the
“
ON
”
position, the headlights, front position
lights, instrument panel illumination, tail
lights and license plate lights are
auto-
matically on or off depending on the
level of the ambient light.
Off position:
The headlights are all off.

The sensitivity of the auto on/off
headlights can be changed by your
SUBARU dealer. We recommend that
you contact your SUBARU dealer for
details.

When you drive in a foreign country
in which the vehicular lane (left-hand
traffic or right-hand traffic) is different
from your country, to avoid blinding the
oncoming driver, you need to block a
part of the headlight lenses. For details,
