8.4.2 The column lift will not lower
Cause Solution
No mains power/control power. Check the mains power/control power.
See section No mains power (on page
76) and section No control voltage (on
page 76).
The pawl does not retract from the
safety lock. First allow the column lift to rise
approx. 1 3/8" and then allow it to
lower.
The electrically operated lowering
valve on the hydraulic unit will not
open. There is no voltage on the lowering
valve or the lowering valve is faulty.
Have the technical service solve the
problem.
Dirty or damaged lowering valve. Have the lowering valve cleaned or
have it replaced by the technical
service.
The maximum elevation difference
(more than 1 3/16") has been
exceeded. Press [UP] until the elevation
difference has been leveled.
If lifting is not required, you can press
the [SELECT] button three times. Then
you can lower. The difference
of 1 3/16" persists.
If the fault occurs again, contact the
technical service.
The maximum height difference (more
than 2 3/8") has been exceeded. Set the main switch to OFF and ON .
Press the [SELECT] button once to
ensure the lifting system can be used
again.
If the fault occurs again, contact the
technical service.
The highest position is virtually the
same as the highest locking position. Have the height set again by the
technical service.
