5. Link Aggregation Support
5.1. Overview
Link aggregation (LAG) allows support of transport capacities in excess of 100
Mbps for a single LAN, by bonding two of the 100-BaseT Ethernet ports. The IDU
supports a single LAN with an Ethernet throughput in excess of 100 Mbps via
intervening LAG-enabled switches that support Link Aggregation Control Protocol
(LACP). No special measures beyond enabling the VLANs are required.
5.2. Aggregated Link Configuration
This section outlines the procedure for enabling an aggregated link. Figure 39
shows the LAG setup.
