3.3.2. Step 2 – Establish Ethernet Connection to IDU 
 
Option 1: IDU connected to PC via LAN: 

•

  Connect one of the IDU’s Ethernet Management ports to the LAN. All other 

IDU Ethernet ports must be disconnected. 

•

  Note  that  you  must  know  your  external  computer’s  IP  address  for 

subsequent steps. (This is the TFTP server IP address.) 

 

Option 2: IDU directly connected via Ethernet to PC (no LAN): 

•

  Connect one of the IDU’s Ethernet Management ports to the external PC’s 

Ethernet port 

•

  Set  external  PC’s  Internet  Protocol  (TCP/IP)  properties  under  Network 

Connections window. 

 

3.3.3. Step 3 – Execute Upgrade 

•

  From Firmware Update window (under System tab) of web GUI, enter TFTP 

server IP address. 

•

  Click Update Firmware button. The window shown in Figure 35 will be seen.
