7 . Commissioning
7 .1 Function Test
The function of the HOLDX process lock has to be checked. Ensure the following before you start:
• The proper mounting of the process guard locking and the corresponding anchor plate
• The cables are proper mounted and not damaged
• The system is free from any contamination
7 .2 Teach-in process of the version "Individual, reteachable"
The first permissible actuator is detected immediately after the supply voltage is applied if
it is within the detection range of the sensor. Each further teach-in of an actuator must be
carried out as described below:
1.
Apply supply voltage to the process lock with open door. (Anchor plate must not be
within the detection zone)
2.
Close the door with a permissible anchor plate
3.
After a short time the red LEDs flash six times in a row
4.
Wait until all LEDs (red, green and blue simultaneously) flashes code 2x
5.
Restart by switching power off and on within the next 2 minutes
6.
The teach-in process is completed and the anchor plate has been accepted
Important
If a new anchor plate is taught-in, the process lock blocks the code of the
previous predessor. Therefore, the last one is no longer permissible. The anchor
plate must not be moved or removed during the teach-in process as long as it
is within the detection range of the process lock.
If the teach-in process is aborted, the power supply must be switched off and
the process restarted. The teach-in of the anchor plates to a process lock is
possible an unlimited number of times, provided the code of the anchor plate
in the process lock is not blocked.
Information
The optional built-in Bluetooth interface and the "HOLDX-Manager" software
can be used at any time to check how often an anchor plate has been taught in.
7 .3 Teach-in process for slave addressing
Before commissioning, all slave units must be given an address which can be done with a
teach-in process. The addressing order is free and must not follow electrical wiring order.
The master is automatically given the last address.
For the version "Individual, reteachable", the actuator must first be taught-in
before the slave participant addresses are taught-in.
See also Section 7.2 - Teach-in process of the version "Individual, reteachable".
The teach-in process of the slave participant addresses is done in the following steps:
1.
The doors must be closed for all participants, i.e. the anchor plates must rest on the
process locks and be aligned as shown in Fig. 3
2.
Apply supply voltage to the system, master and any external power supply.
3.
For all HOLDX process locks all three LEDs (red, green, blue) must flash continuously
and simultaneously (see also flashing codes Table 2)
4.
Open and close the first door for your slave participant 1
5.
After successful teach-in, the flashing code changes to permanent green
6.
Repeat procedure 4 and 5 for all further slave participants in the desired order
7.
When all slave participants have been taught-in, the green LED on all units including
the master lights up permanently and the teach-in process is completed
7 .4 Replacement of components and re-teaching
In the HOLDX system structure, individual, several or all participants can be replaced. If
the HOLDX master is replaced, all participants must be taught-in again. If individual slave
participants are replaced, only the new slave must be taught-in.
The following steps must be carried out to teach-in the new salve participants:
1.
Replacement of one or more participants
2.
Check the correct installation of the replaced process locks according to Fig. 3
3.
Check the correct electrical wiring of the replaced process locks according to Section
4.4 - Electrical connection diagram
4.
The doors must be closed for all participants
5.
Apply supply voltage to the system, master and any external power supply.
6.
All three LEDs (red, green, blue) of the HOLDX-Master and of the replaced participants
must flash continuously (see also flashing codes Table 2)
7.
Open and close the first door on which a process lock has been replaced. The master
will then give it the lowest missing address.
8.
After successful teach-in, the flashing code changes to permanent green
9.
Repeat the procedures 6 and 7 for all further replaced participants in the desired order
10. When all participants have been taught-in again, the green LED on all units including
the master unit lights up permanently and the teach-in process is completed
11. After exchanging all participants, check the safety function of all doors
