Diagnosis for series connection
The master HOLDX RL2 sends all diagnostic signals to a superordinate control unit via the
serial OUT Pin 7 (X1) and Pin 8 (X1). Software function blocks (Software Gateways) for the
diagnosis evaluation are available for download on our website at www.safety-products.
de. The diagnosis between the individual HOLDX process locks is transmitted via an internal
CAN bus. Further information for diagnosis can be found in Section 5.4 – Serial outputs.
Control of the process lock for series connection
The individual control of the process lock is performed via the diagnostic inputs Serial IN
Pin 5 (X1) and Pin 6 (X1) from the superordinate control unit. It is possible to control all
process locks simultaneously or each process lock individually. Software modules (Software
Gateways) for the actuation can be downloaded from our website www.safety-products.de.
2 .7 Protection against manipulation acc . to EN ISO 14119
Standard coding
The process lock accepts any HOLDX RL anchor plate, low coding level according to EN ISO
14119. Variants are listed in Section 2.2.
Custom coding
The process lock only accepts a HOLDX RL2 anchor plate included in the scope of delivery.
The combination of process lock and anchor plate cannot be separated. If a component
is lost or not functional, both components must be replaced. Type 4, high coding level
according to EN ISO 14119.
Individual coding, reteachable
The process lock only accepts a HOLDX RL2 anchor plate. This anchor plate is taught in
firmly by the safety sensor, an unsuitable anchor plate in the detection range of the sensor
leads to an error. The teach-in of a new anchor plate is possible an unlimited number of
times and is described in detail in Section 7.2 – Teach-in process of the version "Individual,
reteachable". Type 4, high coding level according to EN ISO 14119.
