Section 2 – System Overview
2.1 – How it works
The SplashMe Automation Controller operates as a variable speed drive by converting any
single phase/single speed pump (up to 2 kW) into a variable speed pump. Using the pool
size entered during setup and the information detected by the flow sensor, the SplashMe
Automation Controller will efficiently run the filter pump whilst maintaining water cleanliness.
When including electricity tariffs in the App set up, users will also be able to monitor their
electricity savings in real-time.
In addition to the cost-effective pump control, the SplashMe Automation Controller features a
unique multi-probe that measures pH, ORP and temperature. Using the information gathered
through the multi probe, the SplashMe Automation Controller can operate connected dosing
equipment to automatically dose water with both acid (via a standard peristaltic pump) and
chlorine (via a saltwater chlorinator or peristaltic pump) to maintain the desired chemical
balance.
By connecting a solar heating pump, gas heater or electric heat pump, the SplashMe
Automation Controller controls the water temperature using either single or a combination of
heating sources.
The SplashMe Automation Controller pressure sensor will connect to the pool filter and
accurately monitor pressure within the system and send an alert when a backwash or filter
clean is required via the App. Users are able to set the alert pressure level to suit their
individual requirements. A clear system will use less electricity to maintain pool cleanliness.
Users can program equipment to run automatically via the App under three independent
modes, boost, summer and winter. There are 10 schedules within each mode so users can
set individual preferences when to run connected system and auxiliary equipment.
