Click on the details tab, and choose the Hardware Ids property from the drop
down list.

Note the VID (Vendor ID) of VID_1200. This is Spellman’s assigned VID.

4.3.2 The Spellman HID communication DLL (USB_DLL.dll)

Spellman provides a .dll (dynamic link library) to help communicate with the uX
via the Windows driver. This file is named “USB_DLL.dll” and is included on
the CD that comes with the uX unit. This library contains 3 functions:



FindTheHid() – Finds the connection with the correct VID & PID.



WriteReport(str) – Writes a string to the connected device



ReadReport() – Reads a string from the connected device.
