6-2-10 Making Edits
Once edit point settings are made, the AUTO EDIT button flashes, indicating
that you can make edits.
Note
Edit operations depend on menu item 2002: Auto Edit Emulation settings in
CP Setup mode. See Section 3-6, “CP Setup Mode” (page 3-34). If you are not
using Auto Edit Emulation when editing, there is no output to the monitor and
the screen closes immediately.
To make edits
To start auto editing, press the AUTO EDIT button.
During editing, the button lights and goes out when editing is complete.
When you specify the edit end data, you can proceed with the next edit in Edit
mode.
After editing, both the player and recorder return to the OUT point.

To suspend editing
To stop editing before the selected OUT point, hold down the ENTRY button
and press the OUT button. The point at which you pressed the button becomes
the new OUT point and editing ends.
During editing, press the STOP button to cancel editing.
To check edit results
After making edits, press the REVIEW button to confirm edit results.
