HSR-1/1P
HSR-2/2P
3-9. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
The HSR-1/1P/2/2P system control program is stored in the flash memory built-in CPU (hereinafter referred to as IC709)
and in flash memory IC713 (hereinafter referred to as IC713) of the MA-93 board.
Connecting HSR-1/1P/2/2P and the computer can install the system control program (software) in IC709 and IC713 of the
MA-93 board.
Installing the software erases all contents of the IC709 and IC713 in the MA-93 board and then rewrites the new contents
into them.
Note :
Installing the software requires IC709 and IC713 of the MA-93 board to operate normally. If IC709 and
IC713 of the MA-93 board do not operate normally (in case of IC replacement, failure in software
installation, etc.), the program can be forcibly installed. (Refer to section 3-9-2.)
3-9-1. Software Installation (Normal)
Install the software in the flash memory built-in CPU (IC709) and flash memory (IC713) of the MA-93 board according to
the following procedure.
Equipment in Use
1. Computer: must have the following specifications.
.
Is capable of operating Windows 95.
.
Has the serial ports (COM1 and D-SUB 9-pin connector).
Note :
Portable computers such as notebook PC having the above specifications are available. However,
using computer built-in battery may cause failure in installing the software.
2. RS-232C cross cable
3. Data file to be transferred to HSR-1/1P/2/2P: HSR1.MOT (hereinafter referred to as HSR1.MOT)
4. Application that transfers data to HSR-1/1P/2/2P: HSRFLASH.EXE (hereinafter referred to as HSRFLASH.EXE.)
Installation work procedure
1. Install HSR1.MOT and HSRFLASH.EXE in the computer hard disk.
Note :
Be sure to install HSR1.MOT and HSRFLASH.EXE in the same directory. If HSR1.MOT is installed in
a directory, and HSRFLASH.EXE, another, the computer will not operate normally.
2. If the computer executes an application using the serial port (COM1), exit from the application.
3. Be sure HSR-1/1P/2/2P is not put in the play or record status.
Note :
If a tape is put in the cassette compartment, take it out.
4. Set RS-232C to 9600 in the external control menu of HSR-1/1P/2/2P, and exit from the menu.
5. Connect the RS-232C connector of HSR-1/1P/2/2P and the serial port (COM1) via an RS-232C cross cable.
This connection is allowable if HSR-1/1P/2/2P and the computer are powered.
