RF extension tool

Oscilloscope

Setting

1. Connect the RF extension tool to CN775 of RP-

91 board.

2. Connect the oscilloscope as follows.

CH1:

RF/RF extension tool (RF waveform)

CH2:

JSW/RF extension tool (Switching

waveform)

Trigger: CH2

3. Select maintenance menu No. 604-10, center ITI

mode for tracking adjustment.

(Refer to Section 7-2.)

4. Insert an alignment tape into the unit.

7-3-1. Tracking Rough Adjustment

1. Set the PLAY mode.

2. Check that the tape runs along the TG-2 lower

flange, TG-3 upper flange, TG-5 upper flange

and TG-7 upper flange. (Refer to Section 7-1-6.

Tape Path State.)

Then, check that there are no curls on the TG-1

and TG-8 upper flange.

(At this time, the tape need not along the TG-1

and TG-8 upper flange.)

3. Check that both the RF waveform at both the

entrance and exit is flat on the oscilloscope.

4. If RF waveform does not flat, rotate the TG-3

and TG-5 upper flange, and adjust so that it

makes flat.
