To set the phone to silent and vibrate mode
1 Press down on the volume key until appears and the phone vibrates. The phone
is now in silent and vibrate mode, which is indicated by in the status bar.
2 To turn off the vibrate mode, press down on the volume key until appears. The
phone is now in silent mode, which is indicated by in the status bar.
Screen settings
To adjust the screen brightness
1 From the Home screen, tap .
2 Find and tap Settings > Sound & display > Brightness .
3 To decrease the screen brightness, drag the slider to the left. To increase the screen
brightness, drag the slider to the right.
4 Tap
OK
.
To set the screen to vibrate
1 From the Home screen, tap .
2 Find and tap Settings > Sound & display > Haptic feedback . In some applications,
the screen vibrates when you tap it.
To adjust the idle time before the screen turns off
1 From the Home screen, tap .
2 Find and tap Settings > Sound & display > Screen timeout .
3 Select an option.
To turn off the screen quickly, briefly press the power key .
To keep the screen on while charging the phone
1 From the Home screen, tap .
2 Find and tap Settings > Applications > Development .
3 Mark the Stay awake check box.
Phone language
You can select a language to use in your phone.
To change the phone language
1 From the Home screen, tap .
2 Find and tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Select locale .
3 Select an option.
If you choose the wrong language and cannot read the menu texts, go to

Airplane mode
In Airplane mode, no radio transmissions are made by the phone.
To turn on Flight mode
1 From the Home screen, tap .
2 Find and tap Settings > Wireless & networks .
3 Mark the Flight mode checkbox.
You can also press and hold to turn on Flight mode.
