later reference. The original instructions were written in the Hungarian language. This appliance may

only be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking in experience or

knowledge, as well as children from the age of 8, if they are under supervision or have been given instruction

concerning use of the appliance and they have understood the hazards associated with use. Children should

not be allowed to play with the unit. Children may only clean or perform user maintenance on the appliance

under supervision. After unpacking the unit, confirm that it has not been damaged during transit. Keep the

packaging away from children if it contains plastic bags or other potentially hazardous components.

RESETTING THE UNIT

The microprocessor data requires resetting in situations where the power supply is lost or the

unit (including its display) acts erratically. In order to do so, press the button located under the

removable front panel for 3 seconds using a thin, sharp object. The equipment will switch off and

will return to factory default condition. This operation is required after installation, before switching

on the unit for the first time, furthermore when the vehicle’s battery is replaced.

SWITCHING ON AND OFF

In case of proper connection, current time is visible on the display in switched off position. To switch

on the unit, press the

POWER

button briefly. To switch it off, press the button again.

• Later on, it will automatically switch to the most recently used function after being switched on unless

the external storage device has been removed in the meantime.

• Since voltage surges can occur when the vehicle’s engine is started, only turn on the unit after the

engine has been started. Turn off the unit before stopping the engine.

VOLUME AND TONE SETTING

Use the

rotating knob

to set the desired volume level:

VOL 00…63

. Press briefly, repeatedly the

•

EQ OFF:

in order to use treble-bass equalizer, switch off the EQ settings.

• When listening to music on higher volume, do not emphasize significantly high and low tones, as this

may cause distortion!

PHYSIOLOGICAL TONE ADJUSTMENT

The human ear perceives less of low and high frequency sounds at smaller volume. By turning

LOUDNESS

function on, at low volume, automatic tone adjustment depending on volume, will correct

this effect. The lower the volume, the higher the bass and treble frequency boost. It is recommended to

switch off this function at higher volume, since it may cause distorted sound.

• In order to get better sound quality, before using this function it is recommended to choose EQ OFF

setting, and set the equalizers to „0” position.

• The larger the volume, the less noticeable effect on the automatic tone correction.

SETTING THE CURRENT TIME

POWER

 button, then press

 CLK/PTY

button for 2 seconds to display the

clock. Before it would disappear, press it again for 2 seconds, and hour display will start flashing.

• If you are waiting for more than 3 seconds idly during settings, the unit will exit that menu.

storage connected, where the adequate MP3/WMA files are available.

• If there is external unit connected to

USB

 and

SD

slot at the same time, then

USB

 or

SD

 option can be

selected with

MODE/CALL

button. Basically SD card is recommended to use, because of its safe location.

• After connecting external data sources, tracks from the last inserted one will be played.

• Being switched on again, playing of last listened track will continue, if the connected device has not

been removed in the meantime.

USING THE RADIO

After the unit is switched on the radio will turn on if it was being previously listened to – or the last played

USB/SD signal source has been removed. If necessary, use the

MODE/CALL

BND/AMS

 button, (e.g.

), then select the desired programme with

1…6 number keys. Totally 18 FM radio stations can be memorised/stored.

MANUAL TUNING AND STORING RADIO STATIONS

fine tuning of previously set programme, then use of manual tuning is recommended. Select the one

of

F1-F2-F3

FM band on the front panel (F1 is recommended). Keep pressing stepping forward or back

buttons and the device will search for the nearest available station. After the desired radio station has

been tuned, keep holding one of buttons from 1 to 6 to store it. Number of selected storage place will

appear on the right edge of the display (1…6) or if the channel has RDS function, its name will appear.

Stored programmes can be selected by the number keys.

• Totally 18 FM radio station can be stored on FM1-FM2-FM3 bands. 6 – 6 stations can be stored in any

case. If you choose 4th storage place of FM2 band, then you have to select FM2 band first (BND/AMS),

after press the 4. number key.

• If one storage place is already used, then the content will be deleted, and new station frequency will be stored.

• If the unit is being used at a distance from the original tuned location – such as when travelling

– the same station might have to be tuned in again on a different frequency.  The same program
