Band Steering:
The Band Steering is only available on dual band (2.4G & 5G) wireless access
point. The wireless access point requires both 2.4G and 5G bands to use the same SSID and
security setting. Its automatically push dual band clients over from the 2.4G band to the 5G
band for 802.11ac connectivity. This feature can assist with wireless access point utilization
and efficiency by automatically identifying which client devices are capable of 802.11ac link
rates.
Airtime Fairness:
The Airtime Fairness (ATF) requirement primarily focuses on scheduling
fairness for transmission of traffic from Access Point (AP), and efficient Wi-Fi bandwidth
utilization.
Device IP Settings
User can set the wireless access point IP Address here.
IPv4/IPv6:
You can set to Manual or
DHCP(IPv6 is AutoConfiguration) or
Keep AP’s Settings. Note: By default,
SOARNEX EWA wireless access
points are set to automatically
obtain IP address settings using an
existing DHCP (or IPv6 DHCPv6)
server. If the wireless access point
cannot obtain IP address settings
from a DHCP server, the AP will
default back to IPv4 192.168.1.10 / 255.255.255.0 and IPv6 Link-Local Address.
Note: The controller can only discover access points located within the same IP subnet.
