Authentication Method
Select the authentication method:
None

WPA/WPA2-PSK

WPA/WPA2-Enterprise

for the profile.
None:
Select “None” means the wireless client devices does not require authentication; or the
wireless client device does not need to enter in any security parameters to connect the wireless
access point. We are not recommended select this method for your wireless network for typical
usage. Only recommend if your wireless network enable the captive portal authentication.
WEP:
Select “WEP” means the wireless client device requires enter an unencrypted key to connect
the wireless access point. We are not recommended select this method for your wireless network
since key is unencrypted and does not support 802.11n and 802.11ac link rates. The “WEP key”
setting only for Key Index
1 is supported.
HEX

: the key format to be in
HEX
ADECIMAL or

The Key format:
HEX
(hexadecimal - using characters 0-9, A-F)
ASCII
(American Standard Code for Information Interchange - alphanumeric characters). ASCII
format is provided so you can enter a string that is easier to remember.
WPA/WPA2-PSK:
Select “WPA/WPA2-PSK” means the wireless client device requires enter an
encrypted key/passphrase to connect the wireless access point. We are recommended select this
method as typical setting for your wireless network.
