snmp-server host
This command specifies the recipient of a Simple Network Management
Protocol notification operation. Use the
no
form to remove the specified
host.

host-addr
- Internet address of the host (the targeted recipient).
(Maximum host addresses: 5 recipient destination IP address
entries)

inform
- Notifications are sent as inform messages. Note that this
option is only available for version 2c and 3 hosts. (Default: traps
are used)

retries
- The maximum number of times to resend an inform
message if the recipient does not acknowledge receipt. (Range:
0-255; Default: 3)

seconds
- The number of seconds to wait for an acknowledgment
before resending an inform message. (Range: 0-2147483647
centiseconds; Default: 1500 centiseconds)

community-string
- Password-like community string sent with the
notification operation to SNMP V1 and V2c hosts. Although you
can set this string using the
snmp-server host
command by itself,
we recommend that you define this string using the
snmp-server
community
command prior to using the
snmp-server host
command. (Maximum length: 32 characters)
•
version
- Specifies whether to send notifications as SNMP Version
1, 2c or 3 traps. (Range: 1, 2c, 3; Default: 1)

- This group uses SNMPv3 with
authentication, no authentication, or with authentication and
privacy. See “Simple Network Management Protocol” on
page 3-44 for further information about these authentication and
encryption options.

- Host UDP port to use. (Range: 1-65535; Default: 162)
