The label in the terminal battery compartment and on the underside of the terminal
indicates the correct battery chemistry. Do not mix covers between rechargeable and non-
rechargeable terminals as the contact arrangements differ.

3.8.4 Charger

The IDP-800 internal charger only supports rechargeable NiMH battery chemistries.
Only use approved SkyWave NiMH batteries in the IDP-800. The IDP-800 charger
operates independently of the Lua framework. Consequently, charging can occur in any
operating mode.

The charging algorithm is outlined in Figure 14 and described in detail later in this
section.
