Temperature
Probes
The electronic controller uses three temperature probes to gather data from
the refrigeration unit: the control, evaporator and condenser probes. The
probes connect into the rear of the electronic controller and exit from the rear
of the unit junction box to their locations.
Control Probe
For temperature control, temperature display and alarm temperatures, the
temperature control probe is fitted to a bracket in the cabinet supply air,
inside the evaporator tub.
To access the control probe
Evaporator Probe
For defrost initiation and termination, the evaporator probe is fitted onto the
bottom of the evaporator coil at the distributor tube inlet. The probe must be
cable tied in place onto the evaporator inlet pipe and insulated.
To access the evaporator probe
1. Remove the front kick panel and isolate the chiller from the power supply
(see page 42).
2. Remove the refrigeration unit (see page 49).
3. The control probe is now accessible within the evaporator box.

Coil
1. Remove the front kick
panel and isolate the
chiller from the power
supply (see page 42).
2. Remove the refrigeration
unit (see page 49).
3. Lift the evaporator coil out
of the evaporator box to
expose the bottom LH end
of the coil (see page 52). It
will be necessary to free-
up electrical cables and
refrigeration tubing before
lifting the coil.
