Evaporator
Coil
The evaporator coil is located inside the evaporator box and can be lifted up
for servicing.
To lift up the evaporator coil
1. Remove the front kick panel and isolate the chiller from the power supply
2. Remove the refrigeration unit (see page 49).
3. Lift the evaporator coil vertically to expose the capillary, coil and electronic
controller sensor probe. If the evaporator coil needs to be substantially lifted,
it will be necessary to free up pipes and cables from the edge of the
evaporator box.
4. Remove the compressor cover from the refrigeration unit by unscrewing the
seven fixing screws and lifting the cover off.
5. Lift the inseal and free all pipes and cables from the putty on the edge of the
evaporator box.
6. The evaporator coil can now be lifted from the evaporator box. After refitting
the evaporator coil, ensure all gaps around the pipes and cables are filled
with putty and the inseal is refitted to the edge of the evaporator box.
