tion with the SPINEFITTER for exercises
performed in a standing or kneeling posi-
tion, as slipping of the grain cushion could
lead to loss of balance or slipping off the
exercise equipment.
Application cold
Place the grain pillow in a suitable plastic bag
in the refrigerator or freezer for at least 2
hours. Place the grain pillow on the affected
area with a thin cotton cloth or your clothing
as an intermediate layer. Only apply the grain
pillow for as long as you find it comfortable -
max. 20 minutes. Before applying the grain
pillow again, the treated area should remain
uncovered for 20 minutes.
Warning
Risk of injury! The heat may be unevenly
distributed at first. It is important to shake
the cushion well after each heating cycle
to distribute the temperature evenly in the
filling.
Risk of injury! Never place the grain pillow
directly on the skin, always use a thin
cotton cloth or your clothing as an inter-
mediate layer.
Indication heat
Tension, sore muscles, myogelosis/hard
tension, back pain, tendopathies, muscle and
tendon shortening, lumbago, menstrual
cramps, myalgias, irritations of the gastroin-
testinal tract, hypertension (high blood pres-
sure), general nervousness and restlessness,
colds.
Indication cold
Local tissue irritation (swelling, bruising),
sports injuries, pain relief, traumatic and
rheumatoid arthritis, haematomas (bruises),
sprains, scalds or burns, insect bites,
headaches, migraines, nosebleeds, fever,
tired and heavy legs.
Contra indication heat
Acute inflammation, acute trauma (accidents,
open wounds), acute joint inflammation,
oedema, febrile infections, dermatitis, deep
vein thrombosis, peripheral arterial occlusive
disease, hypotension, heart disease, impaired
skin sensation (e.g. diabetics, persons insen-
sitive to heat/cold, children under 3 years).
If in doubt, seek medical advice.
Contra indication Cold
Cold intolerance and cold allergy, Raynaud‘s
syndrome, circulatory disorders, acute
trauma (accidents, open wounds), peripheral
arterial occlusive disease, deep vein throm-
bosis, impaired skin sensation (e.g. diabetics,
individuals) who are insensitive to heat/cold,
children under 3 years of age. If in doubt,
seek medical advice.
